Job description

Position Summary

The overall job purpose of the Quality Engineer is to manage and control all quality and safety-related aspects of the business, support the QA & Safety Manager, and ensure compliance with all standards and requirements concerning quality and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the organization's safety-related policies and procedures
  • Support and drive all quality and safety issues of the MRO
  • Responsible for the internal occurrence reporting system JetSafe (software)
  • Perform investigations on all reported occurrences, including monitoring follow-up by supervisors, staff, operators, airport, etc.
  • Coordinate quality and safety-related issues with the local airport, authorities, and customers
  • Hold overall responsibility for staff training, including developing, implementing, and maintaining a Training Management System
  • Identify local training requirements and support the Quality Manager in competence management
  • Ensure training records are available at all times, especially for audits
  • Manage local QMS & SMS documentation
  • Ensure all QMS & SMS procedures are in place and followed
  • Identify potential hazards and perform risk assessments
  • Coordinate and conduct audits for subcontracted companies and suppliers
  • Assist with external audits from operators
  • Analyze data from audits and reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored
  • Update and review manuals, procedures, and checklists
  • Create awareness of quality and safety within the organization
  • Conduct internal inspections and spot checks
  • Promote safety communication and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as required by the QA & Safety Manager
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience in the Aviation Industry
  • Holder of Part 66 License/equivalent or Engineering degree
  • Trained and experienced in Quality Auditing
  • Knowledge of Safety and Risk management policies
  • Knowledge of OH&S and Environmental requirements (OHS qualified)
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to influence and mentor others
  • Team player with investigative and analytical skills
  • Process-oriented mindset
