Job description

Job Purpose

To provide quality inspection of all products received to ensure that only items matching Panda specifications (where available) are accepted, preventing sub-standard products from entering the Panda Food Chain.

Functional Responsibilities:

1. Schedule and prepare for daily food deliveries.
2. Follow the DC receiving SOP and apply sampling plans in conjunction with the TL.
3. Inspect and check temperatures of vendor vehicles and products before offloading and dispatch.
4. Conduct product inspections and recommend acceptance or rejection based on set specifications for produce and meat products.
5. Record all non-conformities with photographs and report to the TL.
6. Accurately complete all required documents, including the receiving log and checklist during inspections.
7. Ensure proper storage practices according to product categories and conditions.
8. Adhere to Panda Receiving Processes.
9. Check Brix and firmness for relevant fruits based on specifications.
10. Monitor the pest control system in the DC to prevent infestations.

Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
