Job description

The Quality Control Chemist is responsible for conducting quality tests on raw materials, in-process batches, and finished paint products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. This role involves performing laboratory analyses, maintaining accurate records, and supporting production teams in resolving quality issues.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Test and verify raw materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct tests on paint batches during production to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Perform final tests on paints (viscosity, color matching, drying time, adhesion, etc.) before release.
  • Maintain accurate lab reports, log test results, and report non-conformities.
  • Identify and assist in resolving quality deviations or production-related issues.
  • Ensure all tests and processes adhere to industry and regulatory quality standards.
  • Calibrate and maintain testing instruments for accurate results.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines in the lab and production areas.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
