Job Overview:
The QHSES Assurance Specialist applies their conceptual QHSES Assurance knowledge with moderate guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership. They are responsible for solving a range of straightforward QHSES Assurance problems. They will analyze possible solutions using standard procedures and build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The specialist understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve straightforward problems by analyzing solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred or relevant field of study
- 5+ years of industry experience related to EPC construction or fabrication
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other business systems
- Ability to synthesize complex information and technical documentation
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate concepts into simplified instructions or training materials
- Strong communication skills at all organizational levels
- Experience with variable management in limited standardization situations
- Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement principles
- ISO Auditor certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) or equivalent training
- Teamwork and leadership abilities
- Experience with various management systems and software
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Consistent achievement of key performance indicators related to productivity
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and report results timely
- Update and develop procedures and work instructions
- Develop statistical tools for monitoring KPIs and quality metrics
- Maintain and publish KPI, QI, and COQ reports monthly and quarterly
- Review procedures and work instructions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review audit findings and ensure effective root cause analysis
- Lead project teams to implement process improvements
- Use problem-solving techniques, Lean tools, and coaching to resolve deficiencies
- Promote process discipline and standardization culture
- Mentor process owners on data analysis and decision-making
- Analyze processes for quality standards and propose improvements
- Ensure sustainability of improvements via follow-up audits
- Work with leadership to monitor and validate process outputs
- Maintain management systems, facilitate reviews, and revise policies
- Present system results to leadership
- Participate in special projects and quality reviews
- Manage documentation within the EDMS, including reviews, updates, and training
