Job description

Job Summary:

The QHSE Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and control of the Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001:2015, as well as the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System compliant with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, enhancing safety awareness throughout the organization, conducting internal audits, investigating incidents, and managing customer complaints. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in QHSE practices, and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on customer complaints and establish appropriate corrective actions.
  • Update and analyze customer satisfaction survey results.
  • Assist the QHSE Manager in launching the annual internal audit and analyzing results, addressing observations and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Manage internal NCRs across departments and implement corrective actions prior to closure.
  • Support organizational compliance with current environmental and health and safety regulations, ensuring the protection of workers, staff, and visitors.
  • Promote environmental, health, and safety awareness at all organizational levels through regular toolbox talks (TBT) and training.
  • Report QHSE observations to the QHSE Manager.
  • Investigate and report serious personal injury incidents and assist in the investigation of accidents causing significant damage to property.
  • Address complaints regarding hazardous working conditions, reporting findings to the QHSE Manager.
  • Conduct regular environmental, health, and safety inspections of the facility.
  • Coordinate the registration and removal of hazardous waste.
  • Arrange for environmental, occupational health, and safety assessments by external agencies or consultants as needed.
  • Monitor the closure of QHSE findings.
  • Act as the administrator for document control of QHSE records.
  • Ensure that the company management system, including processes and reference documents, is accessible on the company server for all employees.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in QHSE engineering roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools.
  • Demonstrated capability in routine situations with experience in implementing and auditing integrated management systems based on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
  • Fluent English speaking skills and excellent report writing abilities.
  • Qualified in the implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE practices and regulations.
