Job Description
- Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations, identifying any potential issues before they escalate.
- Review plumbing blueprints and specifications to understand the project requirements and ensure accurate implementation during installations.
- Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to provide guidance on plumbing standards and best practices, promoting a culture of quality and safety.
- Document inspection findings meticulously, preparing detailed reports that outline compliance levels and areas needing correction.
- Perform pressure tests and other diagnostic procedures on plumbing systems to verify integrity and functionality.
- Ensure that all plumbing materials and components meet industry standards and project specifications, recommending replacements when necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest plumbing technologies and regulations, providing insight into innovative practices that can enhance project efficiency.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior inspectors and construction staff on plumbing standards and quality control processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in plumbing systems and design.
- Certification as a Plumbing Inspector from a recognized authority, demonstrating a commitment to industry standards and best practices.
- A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in plumbing inspection or installation, showcasing a robust understanding of practical applications.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, essential for accurate inspections and assessments.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to convey inspection results clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Saudi Aramco project experience with SAP reference transmittal and CBT passed document is mandatory.
- Technical knowledge of engineering codes and international standards, particularly Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), IPC, ASME 31.9, NFPA 13, 14, 20, 99, IBC, UFC and/or equivalent standards
- Extensive experience in planning, controlling inspections, and contract scope of work in medium/large scale oil & gas, petrochemical industry
