Job description

Plan and conduct In-process inspection and final inspection of the products / semi-finished metal parts related to Steel Center. Develop Work Instruction / Procedure and facility to conduct inspection of incoming material, fabricated and power coated. Ensure the availability of Technical Drawings, Instructions for products. Manage customer inspections and make arrangements to conduct mechanical tests complying with specified standards / as per customer requirements. Plan inspection of various metal parts, transformer tanks, switchgear parts, LV panel, housing, Panel Boards, Control Panels, Switch Rack, MCC Parts, Bus Ducts and Skids assemblies and issuance of NCR for non-conformance observed. Analyze welder performance, Welders Qualification Test, Paint Tests and welding procedures. Plan to conduct NDT, Pressure & Vacuum Tests as per design /customer requirements. Complying with ISO requirements (QMS & EMS) and familiar on standard safety requirements.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years’ working experience in the Quality Assurance department in a reputed firm engaged with fabrication activities of Transformer Tanks, Switchgear Parts, Bus Ducts and Skids Assemblies, etc. Experience in Welding Technology.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills:

Conversant with various welding processes for Steel Structures / Fabrication activities, quality assurance, inspections, testing and International Codes and Standards (eg. AWS, ASME / AsTM and Aramco Standards). Sound knowledge of welding procedures and associated materials. Good computer knowledge and reporting skills..
