Duties And Responsibilities

Perform all activities necessary for an ARAMCO-approved QC Supervisor.

Functions:

  1. Welding Activities
  2. Verify and understand project ITP / specific procedures related to welding before starting the job.
  3. Inspect raw materials as per project specifications.
  4. Check and monitor welding consumables according to the approved WPS.
  5. Check weld fit-up before, during, and after welding as per WPS.
  6. Ensure parameters align with the approved project WPS / ITP.
  7. Perform visual inspection after welding completion and prepare all necessary documents.
  8. Coordinate with clients and project owner representatives for inspections, report reviews, and submission of inspection reports.
  9. Request NDT for weld joints and coordinate review of NDT reports, films, and final acceptance or rejection reports.
  10. Release jobs for further activities only after confirming all documentation is complete.
  11. Painting/Coating Activities:
  12. Verify and understand project ITP / specific procedures related to coating before starting work.
  13. Inspect coating raw materials and monitor conditions as required.
  14. Monitor cleaning processes, including salt tests, and record results.
  15. Continuously monitor weather conditions per project specifications and record data.
  16. Post-cleaning, check surface profile, conduct salt tests, dust tests, and measure surface temperature, humidity, and ambient temperature.
  17. Monitor coating layers, including wet and dry film thickness, and record measurements.
  18. Perform pull tests on samples as per project procedures.
  19. For pipeline coating, heat joints with induction coils to required temperatures and check temperatures for further operations.
  20. Monitor heat-shrink sleeve application, perform holiday tests at 25 KV, and check the DFT of applied sleeves.
  21. Coordinate with clients and project owners for inspections and report reviews, and submit all reports accordingly.
  22. Prepare final coating reports and submit for client signature.
  23. Release jobs for further activities only after verifying all documentation is complete.

Having a minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 years offshore experience with subsea pipeline/hookup jobs, managing additional QCs on the same project. Resolve technical issues with client or project owner representatives following project procedures.

Qualifications

Welding:

  • AWI (CWI, SCWI)
  • CSWIP (3.1, 3.2)
  • CBT pass

Painting:

  • BGAS (grade 2, 3)
  • NACE (level 2, 3)
  • CBT Pass
