Job description

AtkinsR alis is looking for a QA/QC Manager in Riyadh, KSA.

Summary of Duties:

1. Understand the basics of Request for Proposal (RFP) and Invitation for Bid (IFB) contracts, as well as principles, practices, standards, and procedures of quality assurance.
2. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Prepare reports, correspondence, and technical documents. Verify work quality, record findings, and maintain logs and documentation, including photos.
3. Monitor quality assurance aspects of contract performance in design, manufacturing, and installation activities.
4. Evaluate contractor/supplier compliance with contractual specifications and assess the effectiveness of their quality assurance programs, recommending improvements.
5. Research and approve submitted materials and equipment.
6. Interpret plans, drawings, specifications, standards, and procedures.
7. Review documents for contract compliance and compatibility with other systems.
8. Conduct and document inspections such as RFS, IV, FAI/FACI.
9. Participate in project meetings, stay updated on quality requirements, issues, and schedules.
10. Lead audits and surveys of contractor/supplier quality systems and verify corrective actions.
11. Work independently, know business writing principles, and assist in developing QA training content.
12. Follow safety practices and establish effective working relationships.
13. Use office equipment and software proficiently.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Implement and maintain quality assurance plans and programs.
• Establish performance standards and inspection systems.
• Conduct quality system audits and implement corrective actions.
• Produce and verify quality reports, logs, and records.
• Promote quality awareness internally.
• Have knowledge of relevant computer software applications.
• Exhibit analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Be responsive to changing demands and demonstrate forward-thinking.

Education, Experience, and Certification:

• 16-20 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including TQM, DOE, and SPC systems.
• Preferred experience in Automatic Train Control, Transit Communications, and related systems.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of full-time experience in Quality Engineering, preferably with rail transit systems.
