Job description

QAQC Engineer

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 7 to 10 years in QA/QC roles within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries, focusing on static and rotating mechanical maintenance.
  • Proven experience in turnaround projects and NDT techniques.
  • Shall have O&G and petrochemical experience of a minimum of 5 years.
  • Saudi Aramco approvals will be considered an additional advantage
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement QA/QC plans for mechanical maintenance and turnaround projects in compliance with client requirements, project specifications, and industry standards.
  2. Oversee and perform NDT inspections and ensure that all testing methods (e.g., UT, PT, MT, RT) meet applicable standards.
  3. Monitor and inspect static and rotating mechanical equipment, including compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and pressure vessels, to ensure compliance with maintenance and repair protocols.
  4. Conduct quality audits, ensuring project execution aligns with ISO 9001 and client-specific standards.
  5. Review and approve material certificates, welding procedures, and testing records to ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
  6. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  7. Act as the point of contact for quality-related discussions with clients (e.g., Aramco, SABIC) and third-party inspection agencies.
