Job description

One of our clients in the Power Industry, located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is hiring for the position of QA / QC Engineer.

Years of Experience: 10-12 years

Notice Period: Immediate joiners or a maximum of one-month notice period.

Job Description:

  1. Establish and implement the Project Quality Plan and procedures with project staff, ensuring quality control throughout the project.
  2. Ensure compliance with ISO or alternative procedures for Quality and Environmental Protection.
  3. Serve as the nodal point for all Quality Documents, Procedures, and Compliance across all departments.
  4. Supervise quality control inspectors and engineers.
  5. Prepare inspection and test plans, checklists for site activities, and method statements in coordination with senior engineers and construction in charge.
  6. Ensure inspection of materials received at the site and installations as advised by site engineers or supervisors.
  7. Monitor quality control for each work area as per PQP, Method statements, ITPs, and specifications.
  8. Coordinate with the main client, consultants, and local authorities for site inspections.
  9. Coordinate with suppliers/sub-contractors' quality representatives to ensure products and services meet contract requirements.
  10. Evaluate products and address client/consultant complaints regarding products and installation.
  11. Coordinate with client, consultants, and other contractors' quality representatives.
  12. Maintain calibration records of testing and measuring instruments.
  13. Supervise tests required as per the technical provisions of the contract.
  14. Control, report, and process non-conformance issues.
  15. Provide monthly reports on offsite quality activities.
  16. Obtain written permission from the QC Issuing Authority, client, or consultant for amendments to the quality control system.
  17. Arrange inspections of materials before and after delivery to the site.
  18. Set goals, conduct appraisals, and provide feedback to direct reports; identify training needs and encourage development initiatives.
  19. Compile and analyze quality data, sharing lessons learned for each project.
  20. Perform internal audits to ensure implementation of the approved PQP and collaborate with external auditors.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.
