Job description

JASARA PMC, a leading construction and project management company, is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems and processes to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will collaborate with project teams to identify and address quality control issues, conduct regular inspections and audits, and develop corrective action plans. The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality management within the construction industry and is highly skilled in implementing quality assurance strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Champion "Safety First" value, confidently enacting ‘Stop Work' authority, and engaging in relevant health, safety, and wellbeing standards and behaviors.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with company values at all times.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor junior staff to contribute effectively to departmental deliverables.
  • Work proactively with District/Project Leadership and teams to implement and deliver assets in line with client quality processes and guidelines.
  • Implement program quality plans, including project audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and NQA-1 requirements.
  • Review and implement contractual requirements, project specifications, quality plans, procedures, and the Quality Management RACI Matrix.
  • Validate and verify quality reports and ensure KPI targets are met.
  • Manage and track corrective actions, non-conformances, deviations, and progress towards closure.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure integrated quality management.
  • Report quality issues to Project Quality Leadership and develop appropriate resolutions or mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate, contractual, ethical, and quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide oversight, coaching, and guidance on day-to-day quality activities.
  • Facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve quality objectives.
  • Oversee onsite quality compliance among project teams.
  • Assign work to Quality Engineers and oversee activity progress.
  • Interview and select personnel as needed.
  • Maintain clear work standards, provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address employee issues.
  • Conduct Quality Management System kick-off meetings for new contractors and consultants.
  • Review and contribute to Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).
  • Identify and address quality risks and potential issues proactively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field (preferred).
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification (required).
  • Certifications from standards authorities (ACI, API, ASTM, AWS, CSWIP) are desirable.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in quality system activities, with at least 6 years managing quality systems and 5 years directly related to the project scope.
  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly on mega projects, with quality assurance/control management.
  • Thorough knowledge of project quality management practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience in developing or managing project quality management systems.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience managing teams to achieve goals.
  • Proficiency in software such as MS Office or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
