Job description

Job Scope

To perform design review of engineering documents of PV plants to ensure that the design of the

plant is reliable and operable for PPA term and follows Owners Technical Specifications and other

international standards and best industrial practices. Be involved in FAT, SAT and ensure adherence

to ITP and site-specific procedures. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and

collaboration to achieve project goals and deliver exceptional results.

Technical Responsibility

  • Familiarize with OTS and lesson learnt archive of PV plants of AP and play vital role in
  • updating OTS on regular basis
  • Reviewing the design documents of PV plants within given timeline to ensure adherence
  • to OTS and other international standards
  • Propose the enhancement of the design to ensure reliability and operability of plant
  • equipment for PPA term
  • Prepare comprehensive design review reports, highlighting findings, recommendations,
  • and actions taken.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of design documents, review comments, and
  • correspondence
  • Document lessons learned and best practices from design review processes to improve
  • future projects.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of design review standards and
  • guidelines.
  • Explore technological advances and opportunities for deployment / testing within fleet, to
  • improve reliability and plant efficiency.
  • Support consistent design review practices for new projects and technology deployment.
  • Identification of key focus QA/QC protocols for follow up during manufacturing and
  • commissioning phases.
  • Actively participate in FAT, SAT to ensure that agreed ITPs are diligently followed and
  • identify and report any discrepancies
  • Support O&M team during mobilization phase and assist during Punch List identification
  • and warranty management
  • Closely work with multiple stakeholders including but not limited to construction team,
  • engineering team, EPC, OEMs and ensure healthy working environment
  • Developing of lessons learnt based on fleet experience and follow through with process
  • correction with focus on integration to RoS, vendor qualification, OTS, and/or operational
  • preventive actions.
  • Act as lead in technological area for the RoS implementation within the OM realm,
  • including expert (or seeking expert support) for the validation of initiatives.
  • Assist ED to develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the
  • engineering and technical work performed in the organization, leveraging existing
  • frameworks and standards (EPRI, ASME, API etc.)

Technical Expertise

  • Having in-depth technical knowledge of PV plants O&M and experience of ARCS will be
  • added advantages
  • Having fair technical knowledge of Operations and Maintenance of MV/HV equipment
  • like transformers, cables, switchgears etc.
  • Understand the testing practices based on applicable standards and best industrial
  • practices
  • Able to interpret the test results of transformers, cables, switchgears and other relevant
  • equipment.

  • areas of departmental activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are
  • fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

  • change initiatives, programs and projects considering best practice and standards in the
  • business environment.
  • Classification and identification of technological advances within technology area,
  • identification of potential areas of deployment and business cases supporting
  • implementation

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical equipment industry. Testing of electrical equipment OR PV

plant experience with in-depth knowledge of Electrical equipment.

Minimum Experience

~ 15 years of experience in the field with high focus on equipment reliability.
