Qualifications

PipeCare Group

PipeCare Group has been helping customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years. We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer responsible for working with suppliers, following up on deliveries, clearing ports and borders, and managing issues related to municipalities and main suppliers for concentrate, raw materials, spare parts, and marketing equipment.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

1. Handling purchasing activities
2. Receiving store materials
3. Submitting GRNs to accounts
4. Attending purchasing-related audits
5. Meeting with suppliers
6. Handling petty cash procurement
7. Coordinating transportation requests with logistics for delivery and material exit
8. Sending RFQs and collecting quotes
9. Creating purchase requisitions and item codes
10. Creating purchase orders and following up for approvals
11. Providing feedback on LPO concerns such as price discrepancies and payment terms
12. Following up on deliveries with suppliers
13. Preparing pre-payment requests and price comparisons for approval
14. Following up on payments with accounts
15. Searching for new suppliers and registering them for approval
16. Updating the approved supplier list
17. Filing purchase orders and quotes for audit purposes
18. Negotiating delivery times, discounts, and payment terms with suppliers
19. Reconciling MTC/DO/invoices for QC and accounts
20. Creating work orders
21. Executing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
• Experience in international purchasing
• Postgraduate with 5 years of relevant experience
• Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or automotive industries preferred
• Market knowledge (customers, systems, providers)
• Proficiency in English
• Knowledge of ERP systems

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Mobility to walk, climb, and access elevated platforms
• Effective communication skills
• Focus and multitasking abilities
• Ability to wear safety equipment as required
• Sufficient mobility and reflexes for office duties and travel
