Job Purpose
- Settle the purchase rate & negotiate with supplier.
- Supplier Quality Audit.
- Commodities: Mechanical machined, Electrical, fabricated, press, forged, casted parts of switchgear industry or manufacturing industry & Consumables bout outs items.
Job Context
Ensure all rate settlement will be done as per purchasing policy, new vendor development for localization, cost reduction need to achieve through different methods, supplier quality improvements.
Job Dimensions
The Job involves developing vendors for direct & indirect material based on demand, finding alternate suppliers, cost reduction, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Source new suppliers as per QMS guidelines of LSA.
- Drawing / specification review.
- Localization development of different commodities in KSA.
- Should cost analysis for the requirements.
- Coordinate with technical internal stakeholders for the due diligence of new suppliers/ parts to be developed.
- Float formal enquiries in favor of LSA.
- Handhold with suppliers for development & pass through the samples as per Global standards.
- Tool / die development along with its contract & log sheet management.
- Supplier improvement for quality & delivery.
- Cost reduction for existing sources YoY.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- More than 4 years experience in purchasing or vendor development area, i.e., electrical/mechanical/consumables parts procurement & development.
- Delivery OTIF: 96% at least.
- Quality PPM: 250 for the assigned commodities.
- Cost: 3% reduction in spend for the assigned commodities.
- QMS/ Contract management: 100% adherence to QMS, its continual improvement & contract sign off.
- PR to PO conversion process to support the production team.
- Follow up with suppliers & bring the material on time for delivery.
- Graduate bachelor’s degree in preferably Supply Chain, Logistics Management; however, engineering degree with Supply Chain Professional certificate is acceptable.
- Excellent negotiation & persuasive skills with high level technical knowledge in overall electrical, mechanical materials and suppliers in the region and abroad.
- Experience in vendor development and resourcing supplies.
- Experience of working with suppliers across the world.
- Self-starter and takes initiative for additional responsibilities and challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Data-oriented and logical thinking are key attributes required in the candidate.
- Impeccable integrity is a must.
- Hands-on experience in reputed ERP packages (experience in Microsoft AX will be added advantage).
- Experience in the Middle East market will be added advantage.
- Interpersonal skills in handling inter-department day-to-day issues.
- Positive attitude and emotional intelligence skills.
- Competent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work with people from different nationalities.
