A leading company in Saudi Arabia seeks experienced Pump Maintenance Technicians for fire fighting systems. Responsibilities include operating pumps, conducting maintenance, troubleshooting failures, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates have a technical diploma and at least three years of relevant experience in the field.
SAK Operations and Maintenance Company is currently seeking experienced Pump Maintenance Technicians to support the maintenance and operations of Fire Fighting Pumps and Pump Rooms. The selected candidates will be responsible for the full lifecycle of firefighting pump systems covering routine operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in line with international standards and Civil Defense regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operation & Maintenance of Fire Pumps
Operate and monitor electric, diesel, and jockey fire pumps and associated control panels.
Ensure consistent water pressure and readiness of fire pump systems in accordance with NFPA and Civil Defense standards.
Perform routine startup and shutdown procedures and weekly test runs.
2. Preventive Maintenance
Conduct scheduled maintenance including lubrication, alignment, filter cleaning/replacement, and valve inspection.
Check for vibration, noise, and overheating issues in pumps and motors.
3. Troubleshooting & Repair
Diagnose failures in pump assemblies, motors, control systems, and piping.
Replace or repair mechanical seals, bearings, impellers, pressure switches, and wiring faults.
Restore systems to full functionality with minimal downtime.
4. System Testing & Calibration
Perform pump performance tests including pressure and flow rate checks.
Calibrate pressure gauges, controllers, and flow meters.
Assist in the commissioning of newly installed or upgraded systems.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and confined space procedures.
Maintain operational readiness per Saudi Civil Defense, NFPA, and OEM standards.
Record all maintenance activities, inspection results, and component replacements accurately.
6. Team Collaboration
Coordinate with fire system technicians, facility engineers, and safety personnel during joint operations or upgrades.
Participate in emergency preparedness drills and training sessions.
Candidate Requirements:
Technical Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant technical field).
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in fire pump system operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Proficient with firefighting equipment such as jockey pumps, diesel/electric fire pumps, control panels, and test headers.
Knowledge of NFPA standards and Saudi Civil Defense regulations.
Basic communication in English or Arabic.
Physically fit and capable of working in pump rooms and mechanical areas.
Transferable Iqama required for expatriates.
