Job Description

We are seeking a Pump Engineering Consultant to join the Rotating Equipment Division under the Equipment Consulting Services Department.

The Rotating Equipment Division is responsible for providing technical support for Aramco operating facilities and new projects, developing value-adding concepts and technologies to address corporate challenges, and maintaining Saudi Aramco's engineering standards related to various types of rotating equipment.

The Pump Engineering Consultant's primary role is to develop and maintain the company's pump and seal technologies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform technical assessments of existing pumping systems and issue recommendations.
2. Provide technical support for capital projects involving pumps and seals at various project stages (pre-feasibility, feasibility, basic, and detailed engineering).
3. Utilize simulation and modeling for pump hydraulics and piping systems.
4. Participate in investigations of major incidents or specific problems.
5. Promote a learning environment, share knowledge with young engineers, and encourage engineering in society.
6. Introduce emerging technologies to improve equipment/system reliability, availability, or performance.
7. Provide troubleshooting and develop innovative process solutions with appropriate risk considerations.
8. Mentor developing engineers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university; a Master's degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 20 years of experience in oil and gas handling rotating equipment, focusing on pumps and pumping systems.
3. Relevant international professional certifications, such as vibration analysis, are preferred.
4. Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.
