Protection Relay Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and commission protection relays for electrical systems.
• Conduct relay testing and commissioning activities at substations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of substation equipment (i.e., different types of relays such as REJ525, 75J600, MCGG, SEPAM S40, MICOM P142, REF 615, RED 615, REL 670, RET 670, MICOM 632, 75A522, MICOM 434, etc.), switchgear, auxiliary transformer, UPS, ATS, capacitor bank, and power factor correction panels in power plants and substation projects.
• Knowledge of different protection schemes.
• Ability to clarify and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Business management experience, including sales and marketing; visiting clients and following up on sales operations.
• Evaluate electrical products and systems by designing testing methods.
• Test finished products and system capabilities.
• Keep necessary equipment operational.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results.
• Able to perform under critical schedules and deadlines with minimum supervision.
