Your Job

The Project Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities for major projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco project requirements, and coordinating the timely delivery of materials and services. This role demands extensive knowledge in procurement, contracting, expediting, logistics and fabrication project management, as well as specific knowledge of Saudi Aramco and vendor requirements.

What You Will Do

  1. Procurement Management:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project requirements and company objectives.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure the best pricing and quality.
  2. Contracting:
    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure the best terms and conditions for the company.
    • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  3. Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of major subcontracted activities.
    • Liaise and coordinate with the procurement commodity team to ensure proper delivery of material on time, on quality, on budget.
    • Manage the procurement schedule to align with project milestones and deadlines and keep up to date clean data a project procurement plan.
    • Manage the budget tracking and follow-up, both in terms of estimate vs actual as well as hours spent by the team on the projects.
  4. Expediting:
    • Monitor the progress of orders and expedite deliveries as needed to avoid project delays.
    • Resolve any issues that arise during the procurement process, including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports on order status and delivery schedules.
  5. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with Saudi Aramco project requirements and other relevant standards.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of procurement processes, contracts, and transactions.
    • Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
    • Make sure of the proper use of the tools (ERP, e-bidding, etc) and that data is reliable at any given time.
  6. Supplier Management:
    • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
    • Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.
    • Foster long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply and reliability.
  7. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the procurement budget for projects.
    • Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
  8. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
    • Conduct performance appraisals and develop training plans for team members.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Background in related field.
  • Exposure on Saudi Aramco Project procurement and Project Management requirements with appetence for supply chain activities.
  • Knowledge of contracting, expediting, and fabrication project management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Saudi Aramco's Vendor Registration and Prequalification Requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
