We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in the construction of petrochemical plants. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience, specifically from the contractor’s side. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in SABIC projects. The role requires in-depth knowledge of mechanical construction standards, site execution, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Plan, monitor, and execute mechanical construction activities for petrochemical plant projects.
Ensure that all project mechanical works comply with industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation on-site.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and punch lists.
Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality and functionality of installed systems.
Ensure all construction requirements are met in alignment with client expectations and engineering standards.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during the construction phase and recommend corrective measures.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols at the site.
Liaise with SABIC or other client representatives for inspections, approvals, and compliance.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Mechanical).
Minimum 5 to 8 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in the Gulf region.
Hands-on experience working on petrochemical construction projects from the contractor's side.
Proven experience and familiarity with SABIC construction protocols will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of mechanical construction techniques in the petrochemical sector.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficient in project planning, execution, and coordination.
Sound understanding of QA/QC and HSE standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience with construction documentation and reporting tools.
