ROLE OVERVIEW

NEOM is seeking an exciting new role for a Project Manager - Desalination. This role reports to the Project Director - Desalination within its Water Supply department.

The Water Supply department has multiple assets to design, construct and install across the NEOM region in order to meet water demand profiles for construction, irrigation, consumption etc. These projects range from green-field construction, the provision of facilities to hook-up a desalination barge and hook-up and commissioning of existing containerized assets within the region.

The Project Manager will be responsible for one or more of these projects, planning, organizing, executing and ensuring successful completion of Water Supply projects within scope, schedule and budget.

REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

The Project Manager will provide site-based oversight and management services for the Water Supply Team on a range of water production / desalination projects within NEOM Water. Responsibilities include:

1. Existing Desalination Plant Upgrade: 1) A Waste Water Treatment plant, 2) Conversion of the remineralization system to a saturator based design, 3) Conversion of the disinfection process from using Chlorine Dioxide to Sodium Hypochlorite, 4) Compliance with High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS) Class I requirements, 5) Civil and Instrumentation and Control upgrades to optimize the process plant.
2. Construction of onshore jetty, post-treatment and export facilities to support the provision of a 50 Million Litres a Day (MLD) Desalination Barge.
3. The hook-up of NEOM-owned 21 (MLD) containerized desalination process plant.
4. The procurement and installation of a further 29MLD process plant and remineralization system.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

The Project Manager - Desalination responsibilities will include:

1. Planning, organizing, executing and successful completion of Water Supply projects.
2. On-site management and coordination of contractors.
3. Maximizing contractual performance, monitoring contractor performance and deliverables.
4. Project Controls Management including budget tracking, milestone achievement, and reporting.
5. Managing and reviewing claims with support from the WCG.
6. Maintaining a Permits register for compliance.
7. Ensuring meticulous execution and recording of each project phase and completing the Project Handover process.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
2. Degree qualified.
3. Project Management professional qualifications are preferable.
