Job Description

Project Coordination & Delivery:

  • Lead and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support the Business Development (BD) and Client Servicing teams in preparing estimates, proposals, and execution strategies.
  • Participate in tendering processes, evaluate bids, and ensure subcontractor selection aligns with technical and financial standards.

Planning & Budgeting:

  • Review and approve project drawings, estimates, and work schedules.
  • Prepare and manage the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), procurement planning, and budgeting.
  • Conduct variance analysis and work closely with the finance department to keep projects within budget.
  • Monitor and review project costs periodically to ensure financial control and avoid budget overruns.

Site Management & Quality Control:

  • Oversee daily progress to ensure alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and planned quantities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, identify risks, workflow bottlenecks, and assess material usage and wastage.
  • Implement safety procedures and collaborate with the Safety Supervisor to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Conduct surprise site visits along with quality and safety audits to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Assign daily work schedules and ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Lead and motivate construction managers, engineers, and staff to achieve project goals.
  • Define specific performance KPIs for subordinates to measure productivity and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide continuous training and development to ensure team growth.

Procurement, Logistics & Documentation:

  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and efficient logistics.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to track financial progress, ensuring accurate invoicing and reporting.
  • Manage technical and commercial documentation, including work permits, legal documents, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and obtain necessary approvals.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Prepare and present weekly progress reports to the CEO and stakeholders.
  • Conduct project meetings, including weekly progress and kick-off meetings, ensuring alignment with all parties.
  • Partner with engineers to optimize project designs through value engineering initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with expertise in both civil and mechanical engineering.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects in the Middle East, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and civil engineering, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software, budgeting tools, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing client relationships and team collaboration.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk identification and mitigation.

Technical Expertise:

  • Expertise in reviewing and managing civil and mechanical engineering drawings, BOQs, estimates, and schedules.
  • Hands-on experience in procurement, logistics, budgeting, and mechanical system integration.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, safety standards, and best practices in the Middle East.
