The ARIS Business Unit (BU) Professional Services role entails providing technical leadership on customer projects while also contributing to team leadership within the ARIS practice. In close collaboration with the Professional Services Delivery Director, Project Manager, License Sales, and Professional Services Sales, the (Senior) Consultant / Project Management plans and implements large and complex ARIS projects to achieve the planned business revenues in the context of budget, quality, and time. Furthermore, they control the project interfaces and dependencies to achieve the agreed target.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
Assuming primary responsibility for large and/or complex projects, organizing delivery, and managing the project participants, acting as the central contact person.

Leading larger project teams virtually; defining and assigning sub-projects / work packs; managing and coordinating sub-project managers in PS Delivery.

###

Ensuring that the change control process is established and adhered to accordingly.

Management of projects according to specified project management guidelines or other agreed-upon requirements, as well as developing alternative strategies for successful delivery.

Collaborating with Program Managers and other colleagues within PS, making projects successful, and integrating with other major projects.

Ensuring that the overall project, as well as its sub-projects/work packs, are delivered within the required time, to the requirements of the customer’s requirements, according to quality specifications and within budget.

Utilizing Project Management specific benchmarking information to improve performance through the application of the most feasible techniques.

Developing and maintaining relationships with project sponsors and other key stakeholders (external and internal), with the aim of obtaining full commitment and support for the success of the project.

Leading and coordinating project-related team meetings, conducting project reporting.

Developing and coordinating comprehensive project plans to guide the delivery of the project scope and required resources.

Planning, monitoring, and controlling the delivery of the project, including all aspects of required resources (people, “machines”, materials, money, contracts).

Monitoring and controlling the project to ensure that it meets its timelines, financial and quality objectives, and managing project risks.

Project documentation.

Participation in proposal development, effort, and cost estimating.

Contributing to the Global PS PM community in sharing best practices, building and adopting project management templates, and other assets.

Skills and competencies:
Excellent language and presentation skills, (English and Arabic languages mandatory).

Very good skills in building and maintaining customer relationships and first-class knowledge of negotiation techniques, so that an optimal business relationship is created for ARIS with both the customer and the supplier.

Proven knowledge of today's IT and networking technologies with the ability to present them to others.

Team player with the ability to motivate oneself and the team.

Ability to think creatively and innovatively to solve commercial, time, and technical problems.

Ability to both lead and collaborate in a virtual team environment.

Good sales, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Certification as a project manager (e.g., Prince2, IPMA, or PMI).

Ideally, technical understanding of ARIS products as well as other comparable products in the marketplace.

Understanding of our customers regarding their business environment, their internal projects, and their IT strategies.

Knowledge of a foreign language is an advantage.

Ability to influence employees to perform at their best.

Education required:
University degree or equivalent technical or professional qualification.

Experience required:
Experience in leading project teams.
Experience in Project Management and knowledge of Project Management methods (proof e.g., by certification or project reports).
Proven track record as a leader of complex IT projects.
Several years of experience with direct customer contact.
Experience and knowledge of ARIS products and processes.
