Job description

As a Project Manager Engineering, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of project engineers in an international environment, ensuring successful project completion. Your responsibilities include steering project progress, managing costs and quality, and addressing technical issues with customers and subcontractors. You will also focus on the development of your team members through coaching and facilitation, reporting to the Manager Engineering, and collaborating with Project and Integration Managers.

Tasks and responsibilities:

1. Lead one or more large and/or complex projects, defining project plans and schedules.
2. Manage the project’s budget, planning, risks, and opportunities, providing regular status updates.
3. Ensure timely delivery of all engineering outputs, including specifications, documentation, and training.
4. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Integration Managers, and lead engineers, coordinating activities across engineering disciplines.
5. Conduct health and safety analyses, overseeing safety during engineering phases.
6. Line manage all members of the multidisciplinary project engineering team.
7. Plan resources and address competency needs to maintain a balanced team.
8. Promote continuous development of team members and the team as a whole.

Your profile:

• Technical degree at least at bachelor level.
• Significant experience in project leadership, with familiarity in scope, planning, budget, and risks & opportunities management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and engineering teams.
• Pragmatic approach, balancing quality, lead time, costs, and technology.
• Proactive attitude with initiative-taking capabilities.
• Skilled in coaching employees to maximize their potential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
