Job Description: Project Cost Estimator

The role is responsible for determining the total cost of a project by identifying every expense involved.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing project costs such as labor, materials, and contractors to provide accurate estimates.
2. Attending customer meetings to understand requirements and incorporate them into estimates.
3. Creating and reviewing BOQ documents to ensure accurate costing.
4. Visiting sites, suppliers, and warehouses to understand procurement and stock usage.
5. Building relationships with internal departments and key contractors to facilitate accurate and efficient estimations.
6. Collaborating with sales and project teams to develop proposals that maintain company profitability.
7. Managing variation orders and progress billing in coordination with the projects and finance teams.
8. Assessing the impact of project changes on profitability and informing stakeholders.
9. Gathering data from various teams to generate reports and provide guidance.
10. Contributing to company-wide improvements by understanding business cycles and building standard costs and formulas into ERP systems or pricing sheets.

Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
