Job description

Additionally, the Project Engineer will be expected to:

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Depending on project specifics, serve as Project Manager to develop into a Senior role.
  • Ensure compliance with IMI HSEQ policies and IMIMS standards.
Expertise Delivery:

Lead delivery in specialized areas within ship repairs, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to specifications.

Project Management:

Collaborate with Project Managers to plan, execute, and oversee projects, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.

Execution Management:

Manage interface between IMI personnel and subcontractors to deliver scope on time according to the schedule.

Project Estimates and Material Take-Offs:

Prepare and review estimates and material take-offs.

Site Leadership:

Manage physical project delivery through direct involvement or coordination.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure all activities comply with IMI standards and safety regulations.

Stakeholder Communication:

Act as primary contact for stakeholders, providing updates and addressing issues.

Resource Management:

Manage personnel, materials, and equipment efficiently.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve technical issues with innovative solutions.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of project progress and compliance documentation.

Depending on performance, serve as acting Project Manager and manage multiple projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of ship repairs and refurbishments, especially in Structural, Mechanical, Piping, or Electrical Instrumentation.
