Project Engineer- Oil & Gas

JOB PURPOSE:

Location: Qatar

Industry: Oil & Gas / Chemical industries

1. A minimum of 10 to 13 years of experience in project execution.
2. Experience in executing Oil & Gas projects.
3. Ability to lead medium teams in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering/lumpsum services environment.
4. Proven expertise in FEED and EPCM Engineering execution, including Field Engineering in Project execution (Desirable).
5. Expertise in Design Reviews (Desirable).
6. Delivery of Project Engineering scope of work for the entire project with expected quality requirements.
7. Manage Project Engineering team performance, ensuring each member delivers according to their job description.
8. Deputize for the Project Manager and undertake responsibilities with delegated authority.
9. Review progress regularly with Lead Discipline Engineers, understand key issues, and assist in resolving them.
10. Inform the Project Manager of issues impacting quality and progress.
11. Coordinate engineering change management activities across the project.
12. Generate project-specific procedures and instructions related to Project Engineering.
13. Arrange and chair overall plot plan reviews.
14. Ensure notes and actions from reviews are taken and issued promptly.
15. Arrange and chair weekly progress meetings.
16. Ensure notes and actions from meetings are documented and distributed promptly.
17. Set up and maintain the Document Management System for Project Engineering.
18. Coordinate engineering input to the document distribution matrix, reviewing and updating regularly.
19. Capture engineering lessons learned and submit them into the company system for corporate review.
20. Monitor the status of actions from QA and discipline audits, expediting their closure as needed.
21. Produce a project close-out report upon completion.
