Project Engineer - HV Substation Projects (Saudi Arabia)
Location: Riyadh & Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Our client is a global engineering and construction firm delivering complex high-voltage substation projects across the Kingdom. We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the technical and execution activities across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning for major HV transmission infrastructure programmes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support review of engineering documentation and ensure alignment with client specifications and project milestones.
• Coordinate the technical interface between engineering design and construction teams to ensure seamless execution of works.
• Identify project risks and support mitigation planning for design delays, delivery issues, or scope gaps.
• Participate in subcontractor selection and evaluate technical aspects of vendor and subcontractor proposals.
• Manage work packages across disciplines, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with the client, including preparation of technical and progress reports.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
• Ensure that HSE and quality procedures are enforced across all work fronts in accordance with site and corporate standards.
• Support site teams during construction, installation, and commissioning phases by resolving technical queries and coordinating with the design office.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working on 132kV/380kV HV substation projects in Saudi Arabia
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
• Strong understanding of project engineering workflows from design through execution
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and clients such as SEC, ARAMCO, or NEOM
• Knowledge of HSE, quality, and cost control processes in EPC environments
• Excellent reporting, coordination, and communication skills in English and Arabic
