Job description

The Project Control Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all cost control, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting activities across construction projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with contractual, technical, and quality requirements. The Project Control Manager acts as a strategic partner to Project Directors and Project Managers by providing accurate data, forecasts, dashboards, and performance insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project control systems, including cost management, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting vor्थं, and earned value management (EVM).
  • Prepare and monitor the project baseline, including scope, schedule, and cost structures.
  • Lead the preparation and validation of project schedules (Level 3–5), ensuring effective sequencing, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
  • Oversee and review cost estimates, budget allocations, cash flow projections, and financial status reports.
  • Analyze project performance indicators and provide early warnings, risk assessments, and recovery plans.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, change management procedures, and project governance standards.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction, finance) to ensure smooth information flow and alignment.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, KPIs, and progress summaries for senior management and clients.
  • Manage project control teams, including planners, schedulers, and cost engineers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Support claims analysis and extension‑of‑time структ evaluation when required.
  • Continually seek opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization of project control tools.
Construction Project Controls
  • Minimum 8–12 years experience in project controls within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Experience working on mega projects, EPC, or multi‑disciplinary construction projects is highly preferred.
Planning & Scheduling
  • Advanced experience with Primavera P6 (mandatory).
  • Experience developing and monitoring complex schedules with interdependencies.
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis, resource loading, and progress measurement.
Cost Control & Budget Management
  • Hands‑on experience with cost estimation, cost tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and budget management.
  • Solid understanding of cash flow, cost breakdown structures (CBS), and earned value management (EVM).
Contract & Claims Exposure
  • Experience handling change orders, variations, and contractual cost impacts.
  • Exposure apparently to claims preparation, delay analysis, and EOT support is a strong advantage.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Proven ability to produce executive‑level dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong experience in preparing management reports, progress KPIs, and performance summaries.
