Job Description
  • Manage Core Banking program and related projects in line with approved project management policy and processes in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Manage stakeholders and project teams to deliver project requirements on time and within budget according to agreed scope.
  • Responsible for streamlined execution of assigned projects within the respective program by ensuring compliance of Project Managers with the project lifecycle from initiation to design, delivery and closure including business case development.
  • Ensures compliance with the EPMO standards and processes in assigned projects through all lifecycle stages.
  • Manages program scope, streamlines approach, and monitors timelines, budget and resources allocated for slippage, issues and risks; conducts post project reviews with project stakeholders; maintains regular communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensures that all deliverables to business units & vendors are high quality and in line with stakeholder expectations.
  • Liaises with stakeholders across business units to develop and prioritize initiatives; provides regular reports to all stakeholders and keeps them engaged through project design and delivery.
  • Proactively manages project task, activity timelines for milestone completion and critical path management.
  • Participates in the assignment of the projects under his/her program to the Project Managers, while providing all the required information and details for the effective implementation of the project.
  • Acts as the escalation point between the various project steering committees and the EPMO, Transformation Execution Committee, MANCOM to resolve issues, risks that may arise during project delivery.
  • Monitors the execution progress of the projects within his/her assigned program; identifies potential deviation from project plan, set targets and budget, and supports the effective resolution of any risks/issues.
  • Supports the Project Managers in the implementation of the projects assigned and the preparation of all relevant documentation to support the execution of projects according to the processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for inter-project dependency management within assigned program and/or across the Bank wide portfolio.
  • Leads daily check-in meetings of Project Managers assigned within the respective Division, to include a review of the actions assigned to Project Managers from the previous day.
  • Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the EPMO function to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices considering international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Prepares timely and accurate Program reports to meet Bank and Division requirements, policies and standards.
  • Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
