Production Supervisor

Job Over View: Production Supervisor will Lead a team within a production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into complete products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.

Solving and managing all the troubleshooting and solving issues that arise on a production floor and ensuring a safe and clean production workspace.

The supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process so he must be competent and manage complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the operational costs. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

Industry / Domain: Candidates Must Have experience in Switchgear production.

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing/ assembly team performance

• Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
• Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
• Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities
• Overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance.
• Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams
• Communicating targets and expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance
• Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates
• Ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly
• Determining and distributing work assignments and responsibilities and supervising projects to ensure employees collaborate towards a common objective
• Reviewing employee productivity and performance to ensure they meet production targets or recommending improvements to meet targets and quality standards

Improve HSE culture on shop-floor

• Informing the production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices
• Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations
• Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow

Documentation

• Accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance

Necessary Knowledge and Experience

• 10 year experiences in production of a switchgear industry, manpower planning, shop floor management, HSE.

Education and Certification Minimum Requirements

Diploma degree

Job Specific Technical Skills

• Self-starter who can operate with little supervision.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
