Description:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator III is responsible for ensuring that production lines have the necessary raw materials for operation, managing changeovers, operating process equipment, and performing related duties. They will maintain production records and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Additionally, they must adhere to all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality checks, including weight and crimp width and depth.
• Read and follow batch tickets and specification sheets.
• Verify concentrates against batch tickets.
• Make in-process adjustments to filler machines.
• Perform line changeovers.
• Follow safety and quality standards.
• Complete quality paperwork for each shift.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, removing trash.

Label Operator Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate label equipment.
• Perform label changeovers.
• Manage inventory and upkeep of labels.
• Conduct daily maintenance of area and equipment.
• Read and follow specification sheets.
• Ensure proper labels are on correct cans.
• Stage upcoming production runs.
• Keep work area clean and organized, removing trash.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.
• Successful work experience in manufacturing.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Requirements:

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Changeover experience with mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to make minor mechanical adjustments to machines.
• Ability to read and follow batch tickets and spec sheets.
• Willingness to work overtime and nights as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Perform strenuous, repetitive physical tasks such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and pushing/pulling objects.
• Stand for long periods.
• Work in extreme temperatures.
