Description:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator III is responsible for ensuring that production lines have the necessary raw materials, managing changeovers, operating process equipment, and maintaining accurate production records. The role also involves adhering to standard operating procedures and complying with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Fill Room Operator
  • Conduct quality checks, including weight and crimp width and depth
  • Read and follow batch tickets and spec sheets
  • Verify concentrate accuracy against batch tickets
  • Make in-process adjustments to filler machines
  • Perform line changeovers
  • Follow safety and quality standards
  • Complete quality paperwork for each shift
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including trash removal
  • Label Operator
    • Set up and operate label equipment
    • Manage label changeovers
    • Oversee inventory and maintenance of labels
    • Perform daily maintenance on area and equipment
    • Read and follow spec sheets
    • Ensure correct labels are applied to cans
    • Stage upcoming production runs
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area

    Qualifications:

    • At least 18 years of age
    • High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree or higher is a plus
    • Proven successful work experience in manufacturing
    • Good hand-eye coordination
    • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

    Additional Requirements:

    • Effective verbal and written English communication skills
    • Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with changeovers and mechanical adjustments
    • Ability to read and follow batch tickets and spec sheets
    • Willingness to work overtime and nights as needed

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to operate basic hand tools

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment
    • Perform strenuous physical tasks, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and pushing/pulling objects
    • Stand for extended periods
    • Work in extreme temperatures
