Production Manager

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the commissary, ensuring all production is up to the mark, all standards on health and hygiene are maintained at all times and the production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Timely production scheduling and execution on the floor.
• Manage team with effective communication & coordination regarding operational activities.
• Proper utilization of manpower & machinery while meeting production targets and food safety standards.
• Monitor machine efficiency and utilization while controlling waste related to energy, resources, time, and space.
• Accountable for all finished products and packaging materials, minimizing losses.
• Work actively with other departments like Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.
• Implement food safety, personnel hygiene, GHP, and GMP concerning workmen.
• Monitor critical points & critical control points in the HACCP plan.
• Verify & record relevant documents.

KPIs

• In-process cost of rejection/wastages
• FG inventory levels
• Compliance with all audits

Work Experience Requirement

Experience in a dairy/ice cream plant for 5 to 7 years.

Qualification

• Degree in B.Tech/Post Graduate in Food Technology.
• Additional MBA in Production Operation Management or Masters in Production Engineering.
