1. Production Management:
- Plan and schedule production activities to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Monitor KPIs (e.g., output efficiency, downtime, defect rates) and drive corrective actions.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO, CE) and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for defects and implement quality improvement initiatives.
3. Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) protocols and Middle Eastern safety regulations.
- Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and training programs for staff.
4. Team Leadership:
- Manage supervisors, technicians, and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify skill development opportunities.
5. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely material availability and cost-effective sourcing.
- Optimize inventory levels to prevent delays and minimize excess stock.
6. Cost Control:
- Develop production budgets and implement cost-saving measures (e.g., energy efficiency, waste reduction).
7. Reporting:
- Prepare detailed production reports and present insights to senior management.
8. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends (e.g., lightweight materials, automation) and drive innovation in production techniques.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years in heavy equipment manufacturing (semi-trailers, tankers, or automotive sectors). Middle East experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Proficiency in CNC machine operations (CNC laser/plasma cutting, Rolling, Bending).
- Knowledge in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern safety and environmental regulations.
- Knowledge in MIG, Arc, and TIG welding processes.
Work Environment:
- On-site manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Occasional travel to suppliers or client sites in the region.
