    The Team

    We are a team at the heart of electronic trading in Saudi market. We own the production plant and manage systems that process millions of dollars’ worth of trades every day. We are accountable for the deployment, improvement, monitoring and support of Order Management, Booking, Settlement and Confirmation platforms for Saudi Equity and Listed Derivatives Trading.

    We work closely with Traders, Operations, Developers, product managers and others technology teams to deliver execution and operational services. We ensure the availability, performance and flexibility of the service, today and in the future.

    Job Description

    The team requires a self-motivated self-starter with good technical skills to be providing business and technical support for the equity and listed derivatives businesses.

    The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar engineering function at a financial services firm.

    Responsibilities and qualifications

    Role responsibilities

    • Serve as level one support on production issues
    • Handle Saudi Desk and Operations requests from requirements to production delivery
    • Deploy applications in production
    • Own and maintain the production environment, its stability, integrity, reliability and robustness
    • Use and maintain application monitoring, performance and capacity management in large-scale systems
    • Automate repetitive maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
    • Communicate and document production changes, improve the change management process and tooling
    • Drive continuous improvement through incident follow-ups and root cause analysis
    • Coordinate and run emergency drills

    Essential Experience

    • Fluency (written and oral proficiency) in Arabic & English.
    • Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
    • Strong desire and ability to understand the business and the technology used
    • Strong written and oral communications skills
    • Critical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
    • A drive to both reduce operational risk and facilitate rapid business development
    • Proven ability to work directly with a demanding user base and manage their needs
    • Ability to triage and prioritise incoming requests
    • Hands on working in large-scale Unix/Linux environments
    • Experience with scripting languages, SQL and databases
    • Knowledge on networking and infrastructure
    • Knowledge on core programming concepts (e.g., concurrency, memory management)
    • Familiar with standard SDLC tools, e.g., version control systems, diff-ing tools
