- Production Development Engineer

# Production Development Engineer

Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. Introduces new processes and products to production. Leads the ramp-up activities of new processes and products. Responsible for developing jigs and tools, ensuring they are correctly placed. Creates work instructions and standardizes processes. Supports production during internal/external process and equipment start-up, participates in defining action plans, trains maintenance and production teams, and provides other support activities. Instructs, coaches, and trains co-workers and shop floor staff in Lean manufacturing and new processes. Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and reduce costs, leading testing activities, establishing approval criteria, and selecting external providers. Prepares technical documentation on process phases, methods, and cycle times. Manages process documentation, KPIs, traceability parameters, and safety instructions. Ensures updated process and technical documentation is provided to Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams for supplier evaluations and agreements. Leads Top (Transfer of Product and Technology) activities at the operations level (Assembly & Testing). Develops suppliers for jigs/fixtures and manages purchase requisitions via IP portal and SAP. Implements 5S and Kaizen approaches. Ensures production methods, cycle times, equipment performance, and materials/components support production targets. Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities, leading projects to ensure adherence to timeframes, quality, and cost requirements. Ensures production processes meet project targets. Applies lean tools and techniques within the GPS framework. Performs any additional tasks assigned by the manager to meet job requirements. Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. 5-7 years of experience in Production, Manufacturing, or Fabrication environments. Deep understanding of lean concepts and application of lean Six Sigma tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in spreadsheet analysis and mathematical abilities. MES (Manufacturing Execution System) expertise. SAP proficiency and excellent MS Office skills. Hands-on experience with manufacturing methodologies and tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of professional interaction across a diverse, global team. Good training and presentation skills, with experience in training production staff in classroom or shopfloor settings. Strong leadership skills. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
