JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel in a safe environment on how to operate their aircraft, equipment, and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia supports the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and developing Saudi National capabilities through local partnerships, reinforcing industrialisation and partnerships.

The Job Holder is primarily responsible as the Safety Manager supporting the project's Operations Director. The Safety Manager oversees the design, implementation, and governance of the Safety & Environmental Management System (SEMS) for safe operations.

This includes managing an up-to-date Safety & Environmental Management Plan, which encompasses relevant procedures and processes demonstrating SEMS implementation. As the senior Safety and Environmental representative, the Job Holder provides guidance to ensure safety risks are managed within set timescales, quality standards, and budgets. They will represent BAE Systems Saudi Arabia on all safety matters related to project operations, managing interfaces with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

The Job Holder will hold a Delegated Engineering Responsibility and ensure effective application of Safety & Environmental Management standards and assurance activities across operations. They will be the primary contact for all Safety & Environmental Management issues at the project level affecting BAES SA.
