This role involves defining product strategies, aligning with regional teams, optimizing product lines, and ensuring competitiveness in the market. Also, the product Manager is responsible for executing the category strategy, and ensuring product placement across all channels.
MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB:
1. Strategy & Execution
Define and implement product category strategies for KSA in alignment with regional and local teams.
Act as the key liaison between the Regional team and Sales team.
Execute and oversee the building blocks for product lines at the Product Line and Family Level.
Drive KPIs/accountabilities such as Net Sales, SGMs , and Market Shares.
2. Product Line Management
Serve as the KSA expert for assigned product lines, ensuring continuous improvement and value creation.
Work closely with the Regional team to ensure product line-ups remain relevant and competitive.
Customize product line-ups based on market trends, demand data, and retailer expectations.
Develop business cases for potential gaps and recommend actions to the Regional team.
3. Training & Communication
Train the Training Manager and other key stakeholders on product knowledge.
Ensure smooth rollout of product training materials received from the Regional team.
Support Local Sales teams and Retailers with relevant product insights when necessary.
4. Market Competition & Benchmarking
Monitor competitive positioning and escalate concerns to the Regional team if a product is not competitive.
Collaborate with the Key Account Managers (KAMs) to ensure market trends and sales data align with product strategy.
5. Forecasting & Demand Planning
Provide forecast inputs (12 months rolling basis) in coordination with the KSA KAM team and Demand team.
Monitor and adjust demand expectations based on market data, MS targets, and sales trends.
6. Pricing & Profitability
Define and implement mark-up strategies, ensuring pricing alignment between RSP and NNMSP.
Ensure competitive pricing structures tailored to product line, channel, and promotional activities.
Manage promo weights and conditions across different Family Levels and Retailers in KSA.
7. Product Placement & Listing
Align with the Regional team on Customer Function strategies and modifications.
Ensure accurate product placement in both online and offline channels, maintaining shelf share presence.
MAIN SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education
BA degree in Business Administration
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management or Category Management in FMCG.
