This position will be responsible for managing the Long Distance and Junction product portfolio.
The role will focus on understanding the market dynamics of long-distance and junction fiber products, monitoring their performance, and managing product changes, including conducting market analysis, developing business cases, and formulating pricing strategies.
The Product Manager will also oversee the product lifecycle, ensuring product enhancements are aligned with business needs and market demands.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Lead the development and management of long-distance and junction fiber products by capturing customer requirements and defining new product specifications. Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful product launches.
Gain a deep understanding of the long distance and junction fiber market. Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer demands to inform product development and business strategy.
Regularly track and report on the performance of long-distance and junction products. Provide insights on sales, market share, product usage, and customer feedback. Take corrective actions when necessary to improve product performance.
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for new product features or adjustments to existing products. Develop business cases for product changes, ensuring they align with market needs and business objectives.
Work closely with the pricing team (WBU) to define and review pricing strategies for long-distance and junction products. Ensure pricing reflects the competitive landscape and maximizes revenue.
Oversee the product development lifecycle and define product roadmaps in collaboration with internal teams, including product development, sales, and marketing.
Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure alignment and effective execution of product strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in a commercial telco product management role, with a focus on long distance and junction fiber products.
Strong understanding of long distance and junction fiber market dynamics.
Familiarity with financial, pricing, and forecasting aspects of wholesale fiber products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally to drive product initiatives.
