Overall, the role delivers key SPO performance indicators that provide value for the business, such as savings, compliance, sustainability, invoice on hold, and more.
Sourcing and Project Delivery:
- Manage the SPO process and policy, from needs detection to execution of sourcing requirements at local, regional, country, and cross-continent levels.
- Anticipate and understand business needs to provide the right procurement strategy with optimal requirements.
- Lead sourcing, supplier due diligence, negotiations, risk assessments, using Coupa (ERP), and other tools.
- Conduct market research and evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities to enhance or develop the GPO supplier base for current and future needs.
- Deliver projects (RFI, RFQ, etc.) with varying spend thresholds, complexity, risks, confidentiality, and time constraints. Analyze solutions and make recommendations.
- Support GPO projects and initiatives, including tenders, cost optimizations, sustainability, and process improvements. Support critical yearly peak readiness activities.
Internal Partnership:
- Serve as the face of procurement on-site and build effective business partnerships.
- Partner proactively with site leadership, GPO teams, and key functions like finance and legal.
- Lead MBR and QBR meetings with stakeholders, and contribute to supplier meetings and internal processes.
- Act as SME to add value to procurement categories and processes, identify savings opportunities, perform spend analysis, and support strategy development.
- Promote adherence to spending & transaction policies and GPO policies, educate partners, and provide training.
Systems/Tools:
- Use applications like ERP, Quicksight, PowerBI for reporting and data analysis.
- Leverage tools to analyze opportunities and risks related to spends, categories, vendors, and legal aspects.
Supplier Management:
- Manage contracts from creation to compliance, including negotiations and execution of agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure high service levels.
- Lead and support MBR/QBR meetings, ensuring smooth payment processes and supplier support.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, or significant procurement experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, sourcing, contract management, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic, both spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree focusing on procurement or supply chain.
- Experience in a large, global, matrixed organization.
- CIPS/EIPM accreditation or equivalent.
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Coupa.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, customer-centric, and capable of managing supplier relationships.
