DESCRIPTION

Join a fast-paced Global Procurement Organization (GPO) team supporting Amazon Stores Operations. As part of the EMEA Site Procurement Operations Team (SPO), you will lead and execute strategic procurement projects across various levels, including local, regional, and global. The role involves partnering with internal teams, suppliers, and support departments to deliver value through procurement initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, sustainability, and risk mitigation.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Procurement Performance: Achieve targets related to savings, compliance, sustainability, and invoice management.
  2. Sourcing and Project Delivery: Manage sourcing processes from needs identification to execution, conduct market research, lead negotiations, and execute projects with various complexities.
  3. Internal Partnership: Act as the procurement face for operations, build effective relationships with site leadership, GPO teams, and key functions like Finance and Legal. Lead meetings and act as SME to add value and identify savings opportunities.
  4. Systems/Tools: Use ERP systems, PowerBI, and other tools for reporting, analysis, and supplier performance management.
  5. Supplier Management: Manage contracts, oversee supplier performance, and ensure high-quality service delivery, including leading supplier meetings and ensuring contract compliance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field, or significant procurement experience.
  • Relevant procurement experience and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience in sourcing, contract management, negotiation, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both spoken and written.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree with a focus on Procurement or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in a large, global, matrixed organization.
  • CIPS/EIPM accreditation or similar.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Coupa.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, customer-centric, and able to manage multiple complex projects.
