Description:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for supporting procurement activities, sourcing qualified suppliers, obtaining and analyzing quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, products, and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
The role will also involve supplier relationship management, purchase order processing, delivery follow-up, and coordination with internal departments to ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled efficiently.
Technical Knowledge
- Good knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
- Knowledge of supplier sourcing, evaluation, and relationship management.
- Understanding of RFQ processes, quotation analysis, and price negotiation.
- Knowledge of Purchase Order processing and procurement documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP and computerized procurement systems.
- Understanding of supplier performance monitoring, cost control, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers and contractors.
- Prepare and issue RFQs and obtain competitive quotations.
- Review, compare, and analyze supplier quotations.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Prepare, process, and follow up on Purchase Orders.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
- Identify potential supplier risks and support alternative sourcing when required.
- Assist in developing and maintaining reliable supplier sources.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill procurement requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and documentation.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide recommendations to management when required.
- Ensure procurement activities are properly recorded and maintained within ERP systems.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
- Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned by management.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Mandatory):
- Business Administration
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement
- Logistics
- Or a related field.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP / Procurement systems.
