Job Overview:

The Procurement Officer at Evostel will play a critical role in sourcing and managing the procurement of materials and services required for our projects in the Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Water, and Power sectors. This role requires strong expertise in procurement, vendor management, cost analysis, and risk management, along with the ability to ensure the timely and compliant delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the industry’s standards and regulations and will work closely with the internal teams to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Provide assistance for pre-sales requests by sourcing accurate item cost estimates and quotations.
  • Work with the sales and technical teams to ensure procurement specifications meet project requirements.

Sourcing & Supplier Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and lead times.
  • Maintain strong relationships with both local and international suppliers, ensuring service excellence and performance.

Import Experience:

  • Handle the procurement process for international goods, ensuring compliance with import regulations and smooth customs clearance.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of imported materials.

Vendor & Partner Management:

  • Establish and manage local and international vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Ensure that vendors and partners understand and comply with Evostel’s quality and safety standards.

Cost Analysis:

  • Perform detailed cost analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness in procurement decisions.
  • Regularly review pricing trends and market conditions to recommend cost-saving strategies.

Coordination with Logistics & Inventory:

  • Work closely with logistics and inventory teams to ensure efficient delivery and stocking of materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to meet project timelines.

Purchasing & Order Management:

  • Oversee and manage the entire purchasing process, ensuring timely and accurate order creation, tracking, and receipt of materials.
  • Handle any discrepancies and ensure seamless processing of orders.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, company policies, and industry standards in procurement practices.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, ensuring that contracts and suppliers align with Evostel’s standards.

Budgeting:

  • Support budgeting efforts by providing accurate cost estimates and procurement forecasts.
  • Track and control procurement expenses to ensure that they align with approved budgets.

Procurement Log Management:

  • Maintain a detailed and up-to-date procurement log to track all purchasing activities, including orders, deliveries, and supplier performance.
  • Provide transparency and traceability of procurement processes to management.

On-Time Delivery Assurance:

  • Monitor delivery timelines and take corrective action to address delays or supply chain issues.
  • Ensure timely deliveries to prevent project delays and disruptions.

Planning, Reporting & Documentation:

  • Develop procurement plans, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and organized.
  • Prepare and present regular procurement reports, highlighting performance, challenges, and improvements.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferred) or a similar field.

Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement, particularly in the Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Water, and Power sectors.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of international procurement regulations and import procedures.
  • Familiarity with procurement practices in the Oil & Gas, Water, and Power industries.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
