Job Purpose
To analyze, design, plan, and implement the Corporate Procurement strategic plans by following a systematic approach to maximize benefits from all buying activities for non-trade goods and services, contributing to the department's performance in close alignment with stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure achievement of savings to reduce operating expenses according to annual targets.
- Maintain cost efficiency in all activities.
- Provide feedback and reports on the progress of saving initiatives.
- Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs and partner with staff across the organization, providing high-level advice and guidance to build procurement expertise, ensure governance, and improve procurement practices and outcomes.
- Monitor business trends and product availability to secure the best prices for company goods and services without compromising quality or delivery times.
- Develop relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices, identify and research potential new suppliers, products, and services to enhance service quality and meet company goals.
- Build strong collaborative networks with internal business partners according to SALs.
- Take necessary actions to meet targets and track performance against objectives.
- Hold periodic meetings, visits, and assessments with key suppliers to promote performance.
- Ensure sourcing activities are delivered professionally in alignment with BUs' needs.
- Undertake business needs assessments, supply market analysis, and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
- Fully document procurement processes, decisions, and contractual arrangements to provide an audit trail for probity and audit purposes.
- Continuously improve practices within the team in compliance with department policies and procedures.
- Manage and direct a team of sourcing officers through sourcing activities and KPIs.
- Balance capacities and workloads within the team.
- Create a healthy environment for teamwork, commitments, and individual accountability.
- Conduct sourcing activities professionally, seeking quotations and proposals to fulfill BUs' needs.
- Establish bidding processes and draft RFQs.
- Handle negotiations and present outcomes to committees or BUs for alignment.
- Extend, terminate, renew, or establish new contracts for non-trade buying activities.
