Job description

Procurement Manager (Local) at Crowne Plaza Madinah
  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

People

  • Manage day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve team member performance
  • Educate and train team members in strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
  • Ensure your team are properly trained on systems, security, service and quality standards
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
  • Preparing procurement reports.

Responsible Business

  • Check billing instructions and invoices for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner
  • Train team members on all purchasing systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty

Accountability

This job is the top Procurement job and report to General Manager at a large luxury or resort hotel. Typically supervises Buyer, vender etc. May oversee a team

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management/Business Administration/ Purchasing, plus 3 years of procurement experience.
  • Must speak fluent English. Arabic preferred.
