Job Overview:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing of goods and services to support Starlink's operations. The role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier management, and adherence to procurement policies and compliance standards.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with Starlink's business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and payment terms with suppliers to optimize procurement value.
- Manage purchase requisitions and ensure timely procurement of required goods and services.
- Supplier Relationship & Contract Management:
- Establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and take corrective action when needed.
- Ensure contract compliance, renewals, and risk mitigation in supplier agreements.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and develop improvement plans for underperforming vendors.
- Cost Control & Budget Management:
- Develop cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product and service quality.
- Work closely with finance and operations to ensure procurement aligns with budgetary goals.
- Implement competitive bidding processes to optimize cost efficiency.
- Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Assess procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and updated procurement documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Process Optimization & Technology Utilization:
- Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leverage procurement software and ERP systems for streamlined purchasing operations.
- Analyze market trends and industry benchmarks to drive procurement excellence.
- Perform other job-related projects and/or assignments as requested by the supervisor/manager.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
- Procurement certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, FMCG, retail, or e-commerce is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier risk management.
- Understanding of global procurement regulations, trade compliance, and ethical procurement practices.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
