The opportunity

To build as a You as a Procurement & Logistics Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Lead a functional work team of Buyers, Procurement Specialists and/or Analysts to deliver accurate and timely Procurement activities like transactional purchasing, e-Sourcing, data management and reporting. Ensure execution in accordance with Company and Procurement & Logistics (PL) instructions and procedures.

How you’ll make an impact

• Manage execution and tracking of procurement activities within the team, ensuring quality of delivery service at improved transactional cost and minimizing risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines.
• Apply Group PL guidelines and local SOPs to improve cost, quality, delivery, and working capital. Propose improvements to SOPs where opportunities are identified.
• Coach and mentor the team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and competencies.
• Oversee PL technology systems and tools, ensuring proper operation and performance in coordination with CSS.
• Utilize SAP Ariba platform effectively for supplier management and sourcing.
• Investigate problems, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
• Lead and develop people, ensuring proper organization, staffing, skills, and motivation. Coordinate talent management and succession planning.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years in procurement management within power, energy, or manufacturing industries.

• Knowledge of P2P processes and systems.
• Results-driven with proven implementation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing and persuading abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Compliance and ethics-oriented.
• Preferred: CPSM or PMP certifications, SAP experience, documentation management, Power BI, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
