- Procurement Manager

Role Overview

PL delivery and procurement should manage the execution and tracking of procurement activities within the team, ensuring quality of delivery service at improved transactional costs. The role involves minimizing risks related to quality and financial exposure by adhering to quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines.

The Procurement Manager will process and ensure the accurate application of Group PL guidelines and local SOPs to drive improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities, and purchased material inventory). They will propose SOP improvements where optimization opportunities are identified.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coach and mentor the functional team, ensuring they possess the skills and competencies required for PL activities.
2. Oversee PL technology systems and tools, managing their implementation, operation, maintenance, and performance in coordination with CSS.
3. Ensure full utilization of SAP Ariba for supplier relationship management, including sharing supplier information and identifying high-performing suppliers.
4. Investigate problems, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
5. Lead people management activities, including staffing, skills development, and succession planning, in collaboration with HRBP.
6. Promote and embody Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 10+ years managing procurement in power, energy, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and influence skills.
• Proven knowledge of P2P processes and systems.
• Results-oriented with proven implementation skills.
• Preferred certifications: CPSM or PMP, SAP experience, Power BI, documentation management systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
