Procurement Manager

Location: Riyadh

Reporting into the IPT Leader and/or Head of Procurement, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing a team of procurement professionals primarily dealing with the day-to-day procurement and supplier management activities supporting project and/or non-project requirements. The role covers the whole spectrum of procurement and supplier management including support to bid activity, the management of supplier agreements, order books, and performance against agreed KPI’s; as such, the individual will be required to manage and develop both team and supplier performance. Also responsible for associated internal reporting to senior management and external reporting to SMSCMC customers & stakeholders.

1. The management of a team of procurement professionals engaged in the procurement of project and/or non-project requirements.
2. Overall management of our supplier business agreements, management of associated order books for both routine requirements and any special or critical requirements.
3. Manage team resource levels, team budgets, and the development and training of team members through the company PDR process and skills matrix, utilising staff development to improve team performance and motivation, in particular support to company Saudisation strategies and targets.
4. Detailed knowledge and understanding of procurement & supplier management and associated tools and techniques.
5. A good understanding of the current export control regulations and compliance requirements for procurement.
6. Good knowledge of procurement & supply chain management ERP tools, preferably IFS and SAP.
7. Ability to develop and evaluate procurement and supply chain reports from IFS / SAP and Microsoft applications.
